About

Adrian Hogan Groundworks Ltd brings over 30 years’ experience to sports pitch construction, renovation, drainage and general groundworks across Munster.

Based in Patrickswell, Co. Limerick, we work with sports clubs, golf clubs, schools, homeowners and commercial customers. Our experienced operators and specialist machinery help turn difficult ground into practical, well-finished spaces.

Our work includes pitch drainage, verti-draining, aeration and decompaction, sand spreading, topdressing, seeding and fertilising, alongside golf course works, walking tracks, new lawns, landscaping and fencing.

Services

Verti-Drain

Deep-tine aeration helps relieve compaction and improves the movement of air and water through the soil. We assess ground conditions and choose suitable timing for your pitch, golf course or lawn.

Pitch Scarifying

Remove excess thatch, moss and surface debris to support healthier grass growth. We plan scarifying around ground conditions and the time needed for the playing surface to recover.

Aeration

Improve airflow, water infiltration and root development in compacted turf. We assess the surface and recommend an aeration approach suited to its condition and use.

Sand Spreading

Supply and spreading of sports sand for pitches and golf courses. Even application supports drainage and surface improvement as part of a planned maintenance programme.

Weed & Vegetation Control

Targeted weed and vegetation control for sports grounds and designated work areas. Treatment is planned around the weeds present, weather conditions and the intended use of the ground.

Fertilising & Turf Nutrition

Support healthy, dense grass with a fertiliser programme suited to your ground. Site assessment and, where appropriate, soil testing help inform product choice and application timing.

Pitch Renovation

Specialist surface renovation using a fraise mower to remove unwanted vegetation and accumulated organic matter. We agree the treatment depth and reinstatement requirements for each project.

Grass Cutting & Pitch Maintenance

Grass cutting and maintenance for sports clubs, golf courses and schools. We tailor the work to your surface, playing schedule and seasonal requirements.

Topdressing

Apply an even layer of suitable sand to improve surface consistency and support turf maintenance. Topdressing can be combined with aeration and overseeding where appropriate.

Decompaction & Terra-Spiking

Relieve compacted ground to help air and water move through the soil and support root growth. We recommend suitable decompaction equipment and treatment after assessing your site.

Walking Track Construction

Walking tracks for clubs, schools and community facilities. Works can include excavation, drainage, a compacted stone base, finished surfacing and reinstatement of adjoining ground.

Goal Mouth Renovation

Repair worn goal mouths and reinstate damaged turf to tie in with the pitch. We also provide removal and installation of goalposts where included in the agreed works.

Golf Course & Tee Box Works

Construction and renovation of tee boxes, drainage and associated golf course groundworks. We agree finished levels, contours and surface specifications with the customer before work begins.

Drainage & Groundworks

Drainage solutions, excavation, site clearance, levelling and ground preparation for sports facilities, homes and commercial sites. We assess the ground and agree a practical approach, including suitable outlet arrangements for drainage works.

New Lawns, Landscaping & Fencing

Create a well-finished outdoor space with lawn preparation, grading, seeding, landscaping and fencing. We also construct paths and prepare driveways and patio areas, with materials and finishes agreed for each project.
